Talking about Distrosub

I’ve seen we have @thatlincoln here of Distrosub, and i know @strypey has questions to ask, and so do I, so since i didn’t find any other topic related to this i’m starting one to discuss about this platform :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you manage to offer such low entry-level subscriptions ? Because as i understand it this would be unmanageable because of transaction fees and such.

Thanks for the prod. I now remember what some of them were;

  • software freedom; is the DistroSub software stack under a free license, or is it proprietary? What are the medium-to-long terms goals here, based on what considerations?

  • interoperability; are there any visions or plans enabling DistroSub accounts to interact with accounts or features on other social music services? What features might be prioritized for future interop, and using which protocols?
