Hello, birdwatchers.
It's been an action-packed month and we'd love to share some of the exciting things that've been happening and some of the recent posts from our blog:
Constellation, home of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, has joined Mirlo.
We read and reviewed a book about independent labels in the UK from 1975-2005 and their early take on decentralisation, with an emphasis on the social, rather than the technical.
Read the first in a series where we talk to some of the folks using Mirlo about their projects and how they sustain themselves in How Things Work: with Som da Massa.
Our friends at DIY Conspiracy interviewed Simon Repp, of static site generator Faircamp.
We continue to work with the excellent FairPlayer, a decentralised streaming service, in creating interconnected places for musicians to use and we're looking forward to sharing an interview between the two teams very soon.

25th May 2026: Charming and earnest bedroom pop with anti-folk overtones is this week's #MirloMondays discovery. This is "Vignettes" by mothbear.
1st June 2026: With an expansive sound and callbacks to the early 00s guitar music scene in the UK that wasn't afraid to wear it's US influences on its sleeve, our #MirloMondays find for today is WOOED with "Trademark Changes Of Heart".
8th June: For today's #MirloMondays, we're going #classical and highlighting a release with wandering melodies that take you to exciting, unexpected places. This is "Compositions musique de chambre" by Nicolas Hussein.

15th June: Released earlier this year, our #MirloMondays find for today is a collection of experimental and contemplative blues-folk songs made for the twilight hours.
This is "Mote" by Avi Engel.
22nd June: We always love to see labels making the most of Mirlo, bringing obscure DIY lo-fi goodness into our orbit. One such label is T & M Productions from TΔmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa and we're selecting their release "Soft Metal" by Moon Unit for #MirloMondays today. ππ¦ββ¬
