Was chatting with a pal about putting gigs online - it’s easily done with OBS studio → youtube (or FFMPEG) and (I imagine) fairly easy to stream to a website (given that I’m a developer by trade). I was just wondering if there’s a federated solution available?
A whole bunch of Fedi people have been using Owncast for streaming their live gigs.
Check out https://cal.gravitons.org/ for upcoming gigs (sadly there aren’t any scheduled at the time of writing).
Also, the majority of the live gigs listed at Live Performances – NHAM were originally streamed via Owncast…
+1 for Owncast. Love it. Worth mentioning people are using Peertube for this as well.
yes peertube works well too and it can have automatic archives the same way as yt.
