Are you planning to buy from social music makers on this day? Check out https://isitfairtrademusicfri.day for exciting music to explore!
Bandcamp is not considered a fair platform by The Social Music Network, but several artists and recommenders mentioned it, and there is no doubt that these music makers deserve to be listed here as well. Looking forward to seeing them in fair platforms in the future!
Actually, I have a pretty extensive faircamp site, with all of my albums available:
Mentioned it several times on the fedi (to the point where I got embarrassed) but apparently not enough
The moment the faircamp “embed” player scales ok in tight spaces, I’ll gladly switch the bandcamp widgets on my site with the faircamp ones.
(I’ve also made a feature request for gapless playing, so that things like Malers Hüs don’t get chopped up, which @simonrepp was quite excited about ;-))
Also, one of my EPs is available on jam.coop (with possibly more to come):
So, no need to convince me of fair platforms Rather the other way round: The users of fair platforms would need a little convincing to listen to my music
@schall_und_stille no worries, I’ll edit my post. I checked https://schallundstille.de and didn’t find these links. It took me a while to make the compilation above and didn’t ionvest more time for deep investigation.
Not entirely sure how this works but I’ll just jump in head first, right? @icaria36 recommended this place in a Mastodon conversation on this May’s FTMF, so, here I am. Looking forward to talking to you all and exchange ideas. Cheers!
Welcome! Glad to have you here! I’m one of the moderators and if I can help with anything, please feel free to reach out. Also…if you haven’t, please drop a post in the Introductions thread. We’re glad you’re here!
