It’s not mentioned in the howto, but I think what you do is edit the post, then click on the gear icon to the right of the calendar icon above the text editor. There’s a menu item there to add an event. Not the best UX…

It’s fairtrademusicfriday!

Nice to see this happening here. I would suggest taking the opportunity for calling music fans to nudge their favorite bands on unfair music platforms to see what’s up on the alternative music scene.

The recurrence doesn’t work as I expected (sorry). I thought it would create separate topics for separate days. Instead, when the event is done, it moves the event to the next date.

I think it is better to have separate topics for several days. This way we can better keep a history of ehat happened everytime. Yesterday there wasn’t much activity on Fair Trade Music Friday and that’s fine, but I have hopes that these topics might have a role promoting TSMN-related releases before and during the event.

@AxWax, if you agree, I can create a fre topics in advance and assign them to you, replicating what the recurrence could have done.

I’m trying to make some noise for Fair Trade Music Friday May 2025 beyond the English-speaking circles:

It would be great if other people involved in communities in other languages would reach out to them as well!

In the first days of TSMN, when we were still defining everything, I created several entries on Events for Bandcamp Fridays – see Bandcamp Fridays. Fair Trade Music Fridays? - #9 by icaria36. Since then, FairTradeMusicFriday has established a monthly cadence and the corresponding entries have been created as well. And we have made the scope of TSMN more concrete.

For these reasons, I think we can delete the Bandcamp Friday entries and have in TSMN calendar only the Fair Trade Music Fridays. What do you think?
