Yancey Strickler (founder of Kickstarter) has a proposal for funding artist work, and it’s for artists to incorporate as a corporation, an A Corp.

I’m glad you posted this here because I was going to ask about the difference between this and a co-op but I guess from the chart there are subtle things…
I think that the idea is that a corporation of artists would somehow be friendlier to investor money than any other format of business. It feels really similar the gamble that Subvert is making too.
There’s some good discussion about it on our discord, and I’m half thinking to just copy it over here for longevity

Isn’t the goal here to find ways to break our dependence on extractor money, rather to find ways to make it easier for more artists to fall into their financial pitcher plants?
