It's been such a busy year—We feel like it's time to take stock of some things you can do on Mirlo!
Upload your music! We've received many compliments about how quick our album upload flow is. We've paid special attention to being able to grab metadata from files to make it as painless as possible to upload your music, something a lot of you are doing multiple times across different platforms. Get started here.
We support multiple artist accounts. You're a prolific person and you should be able to express yourself in many ways. Use one user account to manage several artist pages.
Sell your music! Musicians can set their price on their music, and people can buy it--pretty neat stuff. You can label albums as a pre-order with a set release date, and people can buy it in advance, appearing in their collection when it releases. For example, here's our kickstarter compilation album.
Want to promote your music? You can share embed links so that it can be inserted into different websites. We also let you hand out download codes that you can distribute with your merch or hand out to press or friends and family.
Listen to music! This might seem like a simple one, but our player is Pretty Good. It continues playing if you navigate away from a page (something we think is weird bandcamp doesn't do tbh).
Buy music! When you buy an album it gets added to your collection, and you can download flac, wav, and mp3 albums from it as many times as you want. If you're logged in you can see that stuff here.
Set your own support levels! You can give supporters special privileges when they support you at given amounts--automatically receive music, receive private updates, etc (want to support Mirlo? Check it out!)
E-mail your supporters! Send targeted e-mails specifically to supporters of certain levels.
Write blog posts! Blog posts are pretty fully fledged. You can set featured images, embed Mirlo music, and video playlists. They can go live at given times, save them as drafts, etc. Some of our users use Mirlo as a Patreon replacement (this is an example of a blog post!)
Sell merch! This one is new, but you can sell your merch on Mirlo. You can also use our fulfillment page to track order fulfillment. For example, buy one of our hats to support our work
Customize your page! You can add links, set a background image, choose your own color palette, etc. It's pretty cool, and people have gotten pretty creative (and some pages are tbh hard to read).
We're international! Thanks to our payment processor Stripe, we can support artists in 46 countries.
"That's a lot of stuff!" you say "how much does it cost me?" you ask.
Glad you asked! Right now let artists choose how much Mirlo takes, this means that every day could be Bandcamp Friday. All of that money goes into the platform itself, not into some rich investors pocket.
