From April through June, we've earned $140 in platform fees and $1,230 in platform support, with $455 ($411 after fees) coming in every month by the end of the quarter. While platform support has been steady since Q1, we saw a small bump in platform fees. Thank you to all our supporters. Whether you’re a monthly donor, an artist donating some of your sales via platform fees, or a music lover supporting artists on Mirlo, we appreciate your contribution.
We also had the great pleasure of working with Constellation Records, who paid $3,000 to help cover the work we needed to do to ensure Mirlo fit their needs. This allowed the Code Circle to ship dozens of features and improvements in the weeks leading up to them joining the platform. We decided to put some of that money towards Q3 marketing efforts, on top of Hype Circle’s usual volunteering to keep us active on social media. It’s exciting to compensate our volunteers for at least some of the work they do.
Q2 was relatively low on expenses. Our hosting and tooling expenses came in around $660 which is close to the historical average. Note that Q1 was higher because of the annual fee for our Apple Developer membership. Our ending balance was $4,950 of which $1,500 was budgeted for the Hype Circle’s Q3 efforts, leaving us at $3,450. This sets us up for a strong back half of the year. If you'd like to help us make it even stronger, consider subscribing on an annual or monthly basis or by making a one-time donation. Thank you!
