Hi, I’m a musician. I perform as The Blue Knots and as Rio en Medio. I have been recording and performing my own tunes since 2005. I was associated with the freak folk scene and “grew up” as a musician in NYC in that decade, which was good fun. I bought a laptop in 2003 and taught myself pro tools, and have been pretty diy ever since. My recent project is the Blue Knots. I have lately gone full warrior against instagram/Meta and feel it ought to be called out more by musicians and artists especially. I really don’t understand the Fediverse but dammit I’m trying. I started an IRL gallery and community space that’s offline and explicitly anti-AI anti-algorithmic interference, getting in the way of an effective counterculture.
